The Moment I Chose to Become an Artist
My name is Queenie Anne, a visual artist and I am currently living in Switzerland. This is my very first journal entry, and I am truly happy and grateful to share my journey with you, through this private space.
As far back as I can remember, creativity has always been a part of me. Not just in painting or drawing, but in everything I did. As a child, I was always creating—whether it was sketching, imagining, or experimenting with whatever I could find around me. I remember collecting flowers, leaves, and even fruits, mixing them together to create what I believed were perfumes, lotions, or hair treatments. I was probably between six to ten years old at that time, but even then, I already had this natural urge to create something out of nothing—to turn imagination into something real.
When I was twelve, I experienced my first heartbreak. It felt overwhelming at that age—I cried the whole night, not knowing how to process what I was feeling. But instead of keeping it all inside, I turned to music. That was the moment I started writing songs. My very first song was called “Playboy.” From that point on, songwriting became my way of expressing everything I couldn’t say out loud. Whether I felt happy, sad, confused, in love, or lost—music became my emotional outlet.
But alongside music, visual art never left me. Drawing and painting have always been there, quietly growing with me. Whenever I felt something deeply, I would create—turning emotions into something physical, something I could see and hold. There is a different kind of fulfillment in painting. It gives me freedom—the freedom to create without limits, without rules, without boundaries.
Inside my mind, I have always carried a world of my own. A world that is colorful, limitless, and full of life. A place where everything feels possible—where dogs can fly, where animals can enjoy ice cream, where nothing is restricted, and happiness exists without conditions. It is a perfect, imaginative world shaped by freedom, joy, and endless creativity.
Painting allows me to bring that world to life.
This is why I chose to embark on this journey as a visual artist—not just to create, but to share. To translate my emotions, my thoughts, and my imagination into something others can see and feel. Through my art, I want to invite people into my world—a world where there are no limits, where expression is free, and where even the simplest moments can become something beautiful and meaningful.
At the same time, this year I also decided to share another part of myself with the world—my music. Under my artist name Q´ Anne, I have officially released my first two songs available in all music platforms such as Spotify, Youtube, or Apple Music. Music has always been a part of me, and now I am finally letting it be heard.
One of my songs is “Falling For You”, which you can listen to below . It is a piece that carries my emotions in a different form—through sound, rhythm, and words.
This journey is more than just becoming an artist. It is about becoming who I truly am—and sharing that with the world.
