Rising Through Every Fall: A Painting About Resilience, Courage, and New Beginnings
Some paintings begin with an image. Others begin with a feeling or a story. “Rising Through Every Fall” is one of those paintings that carries something deeply personal for me. It represents where I am in my life right now: moving forward, facing uncertainty, learning from failure, and having the courage to pursue the dreams that once felt far away.
At the center of the painting is a woman skiing fearlessly through the snow, surrounded by powerful shades of red, white, black, and gold. The composition is full of movement and energy. But behind the bold colors and dynamic scene is a story about resilience, transformation, and believing in yourself enough to keep going.
The Phoenix: My Symbol of Resilience
One of the most important elements in this painting is the phoenix.
For centuries, the phoenix has represented rebirth—the idea of rising again and beginning anew. For me, it represents resilience, transformation, and new beginnings.
I chose this symbol because it reflects the way I try to approach my own life. I am the type of person who does not give up easily. Of course, I experience failures, disappointments, and moments when things do not happen the way I hoped. But I try not to see failure as the end of the story.
Instead, I ask myself: What can I learn from this? What can I do differently? How can I stand up and try again?
Every time I fall, I want to rise with more experience, more knowledge, and more determination than before.
That is what the phoenix means to me.
It is not about never falling. It is about choosing to rise every time you do.
Why I Painted a Woman Skiing
There is another very personal detail behind this painting: I actually don't know how to ski yet.
And that is exactly why I wanted to paint it.
Learning how to ski is one of my personal goals. Instead of painting something I have already accomplished, I wanted to paint something that represents where I am going.
The skier is moving forward with confidence and determination. For me, that movement symbolizes much more than skiing down a mountain. It represents moving toward my goals even when I am entering unfamiliar territory.
There are many things in life that we hesitate to pursue because we are afraid—afraid of failing, afraid of being judged, afraid that we are not ready, or simply afraid because we do not know what will happen next.
I don't want that fear to decide the direction of my life anymore.
The woman skiing forward represents that decision.
I may not know everything yet. I may still fall along the way. But I am moving forward.
And I am willing to learn.
A New Chapter as an Artist
This painting has an even deeper meaning because 2026 is the year I truly began pursuing my journey as an artist.
Painting has been part of me for a long time, but deciding to take my art seriously and share it with the world feels like stepping into an entirely new chapter of my life.
Starting something new can be exciting, but it can also be frightening. There are questions, uncertainties, mistakes, and moments of self-doubt. As an emerging artist, I know there will be successes as well as disappointments. Not every idea will work. Not every opportunity will happen exactly as I imagine.
But that is part of the journey.
I want to keep creating, experimenting, learning, and discovering what my artistic voice can become.
In that sense, “Rising Through Every Fall” is almost like a self-portrait—not necessarily of how I look, but of who I am and who I am becoming.
Why My Art Is Bold
My personality also influences the visual language of my paintings.
I am naturally attracted to bold colors, unusual ideas, movement, and subjects that feel extraordinary rather than ordinary. I want my paintings to have energy and personality. I want someone to look at them and feel that something is happening beyond the surface.
Fashion is another important influence on my work. I enjoy using clothing, accessories, attitude, and styling as part of the personality of a subject. Music also inspires me because music and visual art can both communicate emotions that are sometimes difficult to explain with words.
That is why I like combining these different worlds in my paintings—art, fashion, movement, music, symbolism, and personal stories.
The strong red in Rising Through Every Fall brings energy and intensity. The white connects naturally with the snow and creates contrast, while the black and gold details give the painting strength and character. Together, they create the bold visual language that I want my work to be recognized for.
Moving Forward Without Being Afraid
Perhaps the most important message behind this painting is simple:
You don't have to know exactly how you will reach your destination before you start moving toward it.
The fact that I painted myself symbolically skiing before I even know how to ski makes the artwork more meaningful to me. It represents possibility. It represents the goals that are still waiting ahead.
And that is also how I see my journey as an artist.
I am still at the beginning. There is so much I want to learn, experience, create, and achieve. I don't know exactly where this journey will lead me.
But I know that I have started.
The phoenix reminds me that failure does not have to be the end. The skier reminds me to keep moving forward. And the painting itself reminds me why I began this journey in the first place.
Fall. Learn. Rise. Transform. Move forward.
Because sometimes a new beginning doesn't start when we finally stop being afraid.
It starts when we decide to move forward despite the fear.
